Robotic Valet Parking

The system features 30 spaces across two subterranean floors—the first for sedans and the second for SUVs. Residents drive into the porte cochere, press a remote, the vertical reciprocating conveyor canopy lifts, and they drive in and leave the vehicle for the system to store below ground until retrieval.

Vehicle storage and retrieval is facilitated by free-roaming, self-charging, omni-directional robots. The robots use traffic management software, markers and vision systems to retrieve and store vehicles from parking trays. This eliminates traditional drive aisles and allows buildings to reduce their parking footprint by 60% to 80% compared to conventional parking.

A unique feature of the East 83rd Street solution is its 18 spaces designated for electric vehicles (EVs). EV charging facilities are increasingly becoming standard as regulations mandating EV provisioning are adopted.
